Where I Was for 2025
A vlog up on YouTube (and this post from January) fills in some of the blanks for my 2025 year that fell completely flat as far as “Sliptide” is concerned. I have a spinal fracture.. though probably, mostly, healed by now, there are residual issues, and I must continue to be careful with activity choices. I won’t be going on any rollercoasters anytime soon (which sucks because I love them)!
<I wrote a big explanation here, but have since removed it because I completely forgot that I made the post in January.>
The other mention in the vlog was the passing of our beloved black lab. What an amazing guy. What a companion. We miss him dearly.
The rest of that year was spent making sure we had a good summer and a good holiday season as a family.
2026
Here we are in 2026, and I’m about 90% recovered. Life is good, and almost normal, with occasional limitations or fatigue that could probably be best managed if I would exercise/train more consistently. I’m working on fitting that into my life as I have had recent changes in my day career and we’ve hit summer as a family.
Work continues on “While You Were Out: Selected Songs from 2018-2023”, while other music projects are coming into focus.
We just had a super busy end-of-year with the kids, their schools, and their music obligations. They have been doing so well with all of it, but it’s nice to settle into summer. We then had a weekend of anniversary and Father’s Day celebrations that allowed my wife and I to have a decent amount of decompression and fun.
Alrighty.. I need to get to work!
Cheers, all.
