I’ve long neglected my website. At some point, the hustle of career and family life filled up majority of my headspace that used to be reserved for artistic expression or experience. In 2024 and early 2025 I had begun stoking the fires of creativity once again, but was met with a few challenges that would put many things on hold. I’ll write more about them later, but the tl;dr of it is:

  • In March of 2025, I injured my back. Turns out the root cause is a spinal fracture, and likely I did it years ago. Horrendous pain 24×7 from March through most of June. Slow recovery throughout last year and into this year. I’m about 85% there, and have way more good days than bad but still more to do to ensure I never slip into a debilitating state again.
  • In June we said goodbye to our eldest dog. The OG. The forever-puppy. We held him when he fit in our hands, and we hugged him goodbye at the veterinary’s office. It was time: He was very old and his body was giving out. However, he was an element of my healing as he met every day with unyielding optimism. We miss him so much.
  • My career job was busy as hell, and on top of that we had requirements to obtain specific certifications. It upset plans I had for other learning and certifications and added a bunch of unnecessary stress. Everything culminated in an anxious November/December, but I passed the exams.

So here we are, in 2026. More physical strengthening and recovery. More musical endeavors to close out chapters of my creative past, yet share them with the world. Moving into the next chapters of my music. More travel with my family and friends. More attempts at recording bits and pieces of it all to share with you. More photography to share with you.

More posting to this website of mine that I’ve maintained for so long, but have done so little with.
