I’ve been working on a few new tracks and am hoping they find a home for release sometime soon!
After a month off due to project work (Sliptide and side projects), live set design and practice, and life in general, I’ve thrown in three new grooving clips and a noteworthy update to “Sundowntowner” that I am *VERY* excited about. I hope you all enjoy these teaser clips! Keep an eye out for my announcements of up coming live performances in December (house music) and January (downtempo/indie electronic)!
I’ve been pretty busy with other projects, life, and going to support local DJs and producers at shows in April. I was able to start a few new tracks though! I’m very excited for “Salt & Sun”, but the others are pretty solid too and have some great potential.
Next month may be pretty slim on the new music front as I am working hard on wrapping up production on a few different projects of my own and side-projects with friends of mine.
It’s that time again. Where the hell did March go, anyway?
A few more delicious bites of that chill meets deep house flavor I’ve been working on this year, along with another downtempo influenced track in there. You’ll also hear some of that adventurous sound of tech-house.
MOST excitedly, though, is the debut of a side project I’m working on with Matt Amberg. We call ourselves “Import.Export”, and are working on an EBM sound that will get asses shaking in the northwest. Check out the teaser clip (the first one of the set) which is an instrumental version of a song we are still writing for and working on.
I also have two remixes that are going under contract for two separate labels. Announcements of them and their release dates/clips should be soon-ish, so keep an eye out!
This months marks the beginning of a monthly set I will be updating to reflect the works I have either in process or already finished. It will cover everything from downtempo to house and even previews of remixes (pending approval from parties involved).
For January I have a large number of down tempo styled songs with heaps of texture and chill sounds. Thus far, these unsigned tracks are compiled into a set that may end up as an LP indie-released project (I’ll float it to some labels, but if nobody bites it will go indie).
I also re-visited my lust for house music but with a fresh set of ears and a new approach. The result was Pike, Contours, and Clichy, 2 AM. These three songs have had some great responses from fans and peers and I have some big news regarding their future that will be announced soon!
My good friend and co-conspirator in Silver Standard, Jeff Surek, has been working on his own chops for music. He’s been doing his own thing on a semi-regular blog. His first step into a more danceable category rang well with me and I offered up a chill remix of his track “No, You“. I’m happy with the song but it needs some work on the mix/EQ. The release of that track is entirely dependant on what Mr. JSurek wants to do with it, so you’ll just have to sit tight before you can hear the full version.
