I’ve been working on some house elements in my library. I have made some decent synths and drum kits, filtered out some FX, and am working on some bass sounds/patches to use for producing some more pop-house stuff. So far it’s going well. It’s hard to get out of the mode of epic build ups and layered ambiance and into the dance mindset.

The project started last night is a good blend that I describe as “house music meets Way Out West”. It is sort of a 1-2 punch of gritty house synths with some trance/progressive elements (the pads and drums). I’m not sure where it will go yet, but I’m keeping at it!

I’m nearly brainwashing myself right now with dance music. It’s natural for me to get into more groove and house music when the weather is on the up-turn here in Seattle. My truck is bumping the likes of David Guetta, Gabriel & Dresden, etc. Great times. =)

On the Well of Souls front, I have set up the album on CDBaby, completed the final mix, and have the digital distribution CD in my hands ready for a final QA before I send it off to be digitized and sent to iTunes, Amazon and other online retailers.
